From requirements to an AI application

The scope of a prototype determines which questions it can answer.

Assignment and outputs ↓

In my own product development, I have brought together domain design, a data model, an interface and AI integration. This work sharpens my judgement about which requirements belong in an early application and which can remain open.

The question

An AI function can produce a plausible result without solving the actual task. An initial application therefore needs a clear purpose: What should someone do with the result, and how can they judge its quality?

I use that question to define the first development scope. This includes incomplete inputs and errors: Can a person recognise when an answer is insufficient and needs their own review?

My work

I developed the application from domain design through to technical implementation. The data model, interface and AI services had to support the same task.

I check the requirements against test cases in the prototype. For further development, I distinguish tested behaviour from open questions. That makes it easier to see whether the next step needs a feature, a correction or further domain input.

Assignment and outputs

For a bounded task, I develop an AI-assisted web application with your domain team. We agree which cases the first version should handle; I take on the design, interface, data model and AI integration.

The result is a working prototype with test cases and documented code. At handover, I specify what has been checked and what work is still needed before reliable operation.
